Counselling & Therapy
In Epsom, Surrey. And Online
Hello, my name is Mark, and I’m a BACP-registered therapist based in Epsom, Surrey. I work with clients privately, alongside a part-time role within an NHS GP practice.
If you’ve arrived here, you’re likely looking for support to help you make meaningful changes in your life. Perhaps you’re experiencing confusing emotions, struggling with your mental health, or feel that life has reached a point where things just aren’t working anymore.
Maybe you feel lost, unsure of exactly what needs to change - but something in your gut tells you that things don’t feel right.
The good news is: These kinds of experiences are incredibly common, and they’re exactly where therapy can help. It can empower you to understand what’s going on and begin to move forward.

Common Issues
Therapy Can Help WithThere’s no handbook for modern life. As a result, we can often feel lost and unsupported when facing the challenges and changes that come with being human.
Counselling and therapy can help with a wide range of concerns that may be affecting you. Here are some of the most common themes I support my clients with:
Hello, I'm Mark
Find Out Whether I'm The Right Therapist For You
My Therapy 'Model'
I trained as an 'integrative therapist'—a model that combines elements from various therapeutic approaches, allowing me to adapt and tailor my work to suit each client’s unique needs.
While I draw from methods such as CBT, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and others, the core of my practice is rooted in 'person-centred therapy'.
At its heart, this model holds the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Therapy provides a space to explore your experiences and challenges, enabling you to make changes that feel right for you.
Person-centred therapy is a longer-term, talking-based approach that places emphasis on the relationship between therapist and client. This 'therapeutic alliance' is the foundation for trust, growth, and lasting change.
My Therapy Style
‘Being in therapy’ can sometimes make us feel like a victim of our circumstances. That’s something I’m passionate about changing.
My style of therapy focuses on removing shame—by accepting you as you are, without judgement of your past or actions. I aim to help you understand the past, accept the present, and begin shaping a future that feels more aligned with who you want to be.
I work with the 'narrative' of your life—how your thoughts, self-talk, emotions, and behaviours interact to shape your sense of self.
I’m especially interested in how our mental health is influenced by a wide range of factors: Our thoughts, emotions, physical body, lifestyle, genetics, and life experiences.
The core principles
that guide my therapyAutonomy
I am guided by you at all times. While I may offer suggestions or psychoeducation, I will never offer advice or 'tell you what to do'.Humanity
You are not a “problem to be solved” or a list of symptoms. You’re a complex, unique human being who deserves care, understanding, and support.Ethics
I work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework and always strive to prioritise your best interests in all aspects of my practice.
Empowerment
I believe in removing shame and victimhood from mental health. Therapy should empower you to take ownership of your life.Confidentiality
Discussions in therapy stay between us. The only exceptions are rare legal and safeguarding circumstances, which I’ll explain in our first session.Professionalism
Being on time, informing you of breaks, being clear on costs, online payments. Everything you would expect from a professional service. In Person Therapy
